ARTWORK is the latest project from Kay Van Dyke, AIA.

An architect by trade, Kay’s entrepreneurial skills, and passion for the arts have played a huge part in the revitalization of Main Street in Gloucester. In 2010 Kay founded Arts on Main, after purchasing an abandoned building and restoring it to create the beloved arts center. After selling it in 2020, she took the same approach and turned another empty space into the Village Arts Colony, a co-op for local artists to showcase their work, as well as conduct classes in painting and drawing.

Now, in 2024, she’s purchased a third building on Main Street—one which was originally built in the 1930’s, and has stood empty for over a decade—and has turned it into a new center for creativity and commerce in Gloucester: ARTWORK.
